Why We Need to Change Our Mode of Assessment?

- Meaningful learning is reflective, constructive and self regulated and that all learning requires learners to think. Creating environment for deeper cognitive development – inquiry, real, relevant project based learning, differentiated instructions. Evidences- thinking and problem solving skills rather than discrete knowledge.

- Academic failure can also result when a student’s understanding is not adequately determined by an assessment activity.

- Meaningful learning - assessment as evidence of how and whether students organize, structure, and use information in context to solve complex problems
